CIVIL: The world needs forces that will connect and respect each other, and the global evil, the Holocaust, to remain in the dark past

On the International Holocaust Remembrance Day, CIVIL as a human rights organization reminds of the time of the genocide against the European Jews during World War II, when between 1941 and 1945, Nazi Germany and its collaborators systematically killed about 6 million Jews across Europe occupied by Germany.

CIVIL reminds that this global evil, in which the lives of millions of innocent people were taken in a gruesome way only because the Nazis and their collaborators in their twisted and anti - Semitic ideology considered that Jews (and not only) were an inferior form of life that "contaminates" the Aryan "pure" race, in the very beginnings of this mega violence, was initially incited by hate speech, which then grew into deliberate physical violence with premeditation for fatal outcomes.

The Holocaust against the European Jews remains the biggest dark spot of humanity , and the enormous human loss from which the world may never recover, must not be forgotten.

Anti - Semitism still exists in the world, and North Macedonia is also not excluded from similar "ideological outbursts", which in no case should be left to chance, and which should be treated as an extremely real threat to the social order of the country.

CIVIL urges that any anti - Semitic speech, inciting and consequently, violence of similar motives, are, in the very least, inappropriate and destructive for a society that strives to a higher form of existence as humankind, in the world, and in the country.

On this day, the International Holocaust Remembrance Day, CIVIL sends the message that the world needs forces that will connect, respect, recognize each other and live to leave bright memories for the generations to come, and for the global evil such as the Holocaust, to remain in the dark past, which nevertheless, is a reminder that man is the biggest evil that can happen to humanity.

May it not be forgotten, and may it never happen again.
