The launch of Dialogue – Newsletter on Democracy and Human Rights and the panel discussion on Freedom of Speech and Media in the Republic of Macedonia will take place on
Monday, December 19, at the EU InfoCentre, beginning at 11h.
Participants: Civil – Center for Freedom | Civil Media representatives Risto Popovski, Ilir Ajdini, and Zvezdan Georgievski. Guests: Zoran Stefanoski, President of the Broadcasting Council of the Republic of Macedonia, and Gordana Duvnjak political journalist at Utrinski Vesnik. Moderator: Xhabir M. Deralla.
The panel discussion is being organized on the occasion of publishing of the new issue of Dialogue – Newsletter on Democracy and Human Rights, project segment of the Cure – Political Culture and Dialogue Project. The date of the event refers symbolically to the Article 19 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights which states that:
“Everyone has the right to freedom of opinion and expression; this right includes freedom to hold opinions without interference and to seek, receive and impart information and ideas through any media and regardless of frontiers.”
