Exhibition titled “North Macedonia’s path to NATO” opens in Brussels

At the headquarters of the Alliance, this afternoon Minister of Defence Radmila Sekerinska opened the exhibition titled “North Macedonia’s path to NATO”.

– I am pleased to open this exhibition, which represents our path to the Alliance. The moment of joining NATO was a moment for remembering, a moment of pride. We succeeded because we were committed and because we had your support, said the Minister at the opening before the NATO Ambassadors.

Sekerinska, as is pointed out in the statement of the Ministry of Defence, thanked representatives of member states for all the assistance throughout the years to full membership and said that North Macedonia appreciates and does not forget this.

Assistant Secretary General of the Alliance for Public Diplomacy, Baiba Braže, outlined that this exhibition illustrates a path filled with dedication and wisdom.

– You are a success story, said Braže.

The exhibition hosts 28 photos of persons and events that have marked the path of our country to NATO, in the period 1993 to 2021.

Following the exhibition, in the premises of the Permanent delegation of North Macedonia to the Alliance, Minister Sekerinska handed over thank-you-letters to several figures who within NATO have strongly supported and assisted the integration of our country into the Alliance throughout the years.
